| Example of an unusual Log House Repair | |
| Log House, Ireland - penetrating dampness had destroyed some of the log ends - Wet Rot had set in. These were replaced using specially cut repair log pieces, in Douglas Fir, designed to be end connected, using eopxy-glass dowels and Thixotropic Injection resin. Joists with Wet Rot in the bearing ends - ceiling left in place Splicing wood beams can be carried out using timber connectors, supplied with resins, or as a Timber Resin splice (TRS) where we supply a complete Kit of parts, including the timber beam itself, usually with the connectors factory fixed. Splicing timber is easy using either technique - you can carry out beam repair, joist repair and complete beam replacement. New beams in laminated timber can be supplied in several parts, in order to avoid lifting problems and access difficulties.
