Beams can be repaired using Timber-Resin Splices (TRS) which are new, laminated to size matching timber repair pieces with Epoxy Coated Steel Re-bar pre-bonded into the connection ends (Types C and D).

Timber Resin Splice units

Epoxy-Glass Bars - as extensively tested and proven over the last 20 years, these bars feature in the long term evaluation carried out in the UK and Europe, which has resulted in the development of EUROCODE 5, a design and specification handbook for the use of resins in composite repairs in buildings (price, £15).

The Epoxy-Glass bars are available in the following diameters;

1. 5mm - in 3 metre lengths
2. 10mm - in 3 metre lengths
3. 16mm - in 3 metre lengths

They can be ordered cut to length. They can be use to tie and link timbers and masonry.
